Basketball Recap: Davenport North Comes Up Short

Davenport North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 67-64 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pleasant Valley Spartans. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 53-46.

Davenport North's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Pleasant Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Coming up, Davenport North will challenge Assumption at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pleasant Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bettendorf/Morning Star Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
