Softball Game Preview: Coronado Thunderbirds vs. Eastlake Falcons

Coronado hasn't had much luck against Eastlake recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Thunderbirds will host the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. Coronado has given up an average of 13.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Coronado is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Socorro, falling 11-1.

Coronado saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Farrah Macias, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Eastlake had taken Pebble Hills down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Falcons took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans.

Eastlake dropped their record down to 21-12 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Coronado, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-24.
