It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but La Grange ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Navasota Rattlers. The victory continues a trend for the Leopards in their matchups with the Rattlers: they've now won four in a row.

Brooke Ulrich spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, La Grange's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Landri Hernandez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Hernandez has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

La Grange's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Navasota, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-16.

As of now, neither La Grange nor the Rattlers have any future games scheduled.
