Basketball Recap: Franklin County Takes a Loss

Franklin County lost against Fleming back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Franklin County Eagles were beaten by the Fleming Colonels 67-31. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Franklin County's loss was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Fleming, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin County will challenge Northside at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Northside will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Franklin County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fleming, they will take on Staunton River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fleming has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three contests.
