Baseball Recap: Laurel Hill Hoboes vs. Baker Gators

Laurel Hill lost against Baker last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Laurel Hill Hoboes lost 18-6 to the Baker Gators. The Hoboes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brannon Henderson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrance Hudson, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Laurel Hill's loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1. As for Baker, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Laurel Hill will face off against Paxton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Laurel Hill has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Baker, they will challenge Pleasant Home at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Baker is facing Pleasant Home at the right time seeing as Pleasant Home is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
