Lacie Godby made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three runs and one double.

In other batting news, Macey Pugh was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Taylor Gibbs also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Cascade always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Frankfort only posted an OBP of .263.

Meanwhile, Danville got the win against Living Water Homeschool on Wednesday by a conclusive 8-2.

Autumn Muncy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Cassie Thompson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Piper Whitson, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Cascade's record is now 15-1. As for Danville, their record now sits at 15-4.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Cascade has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Danville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Cascade was able to grind out a solid victory over Danville when the teams last played back in May of 2025, winning 6-2. Do the Cadets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
