Baseball Recap: Warrenton Comes Up Short

Warrenton fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Troy-Buchanan on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 4-3. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Keegan Lehmkuhl made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Warrenton is 3-1 when Lehmkuhl posts two or more runs, but 9-12 otherwise.

Warrenton now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Troy-Buchanan, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-14.
