Lacey Township needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Joey Davis. The Lions breezed past the Lakewood Piners to the tune of 45-14 on Saturday with plenty of help from Davis, who rushed for 142 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Lacey Township is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-6 otherwise.

Lacey Township picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Lakewood, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coming up, Lacey Township will square off against Hammonton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakewood, they will head out to challenge Freehold Boro at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Piners will be up against the Colonials' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.44 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
