Baseball Recap: Columbine Triumphs

Columbine won the last time they faced Conifer and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rebels came out on top against the Lobos by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rebels.

The team relied heavily on Matthew Kossik, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Columbine is undefeated when Kossik posts two or more runs, but 1-7 otherwise.

Columbine's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Conifer, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Looking ahead, Columbine will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakewood at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The match will give the Rebels their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Conifer, they will face off against Littleton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.88 runs per game on average), something the Lobos will no doubt try to take advantage of.
