Basketball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

If Franklin was feeling good fresh off their 59-32 takedown of Sussex Central last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Franklin Broncos fell to the Greensville County Eagles 50-45. The Broncos have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Greensville County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will venture away from home to face off against Cumberland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Greensville County, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech at 5:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
