Volleyball Recap: Boca Raton Bobcats vs. Coral Glades Jaguars
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Boca Raton had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Coral Glades Jaguars with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Bobcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-20, 25-11.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Boca Raton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mija Bendziute, who hit 76% for 19 killsten aces and nine digs. Bendziute is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in the last 39 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Hadley Clark, who had five aces.
She wasn't the only good server: Boca Raton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.
Boca Raton's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Coral Glades, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Boca Raton has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Stoneman Douglas on the 18th. Coral Glades does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
