After flying high against Brunswick last Thursday, Messalonskee came back down to earth. The Messalonskee Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Washington Academy Raiders on Saturday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Messalonskee started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 29-31, 25-15, 25-13, 25-17.
