Grosse Pointe North won the last time they faced Utica and Lily Schanley did her part to make sure it happened again. The Norsemen walked away with a 3-1 win over the Chieftains on Tuesday with plenty of help from Schanley, who had ten digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.
While Grosse Pointe North might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Utica scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 26-24, 19-25, 25-21.
Grosse Pointe North has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Utica, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-17-1.
