Basketball Recap: Chandler Prep's Losing Streak Snapped at Eight Games

Chandler Prep's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the San Tan Charter Roadrunners with a sharp 40-20 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Titans as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Chandler Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lailani Hall, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Hall has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Kate Westervelt was another key player, putting up eight points and seven steals.

Chandler Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Chandler Prep's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-14. As for San Tan Charter, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Chandler Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 82-36 defeat against San Carlos on the 21st. San Tan Charter has also already played their next game, a 39-19 loss against Arete Prep on the 21st.
