Softball Recap: Liberty-Benton Wins Going Away Against Ottawa-Glandorf

Liberty-Benton won the last time they faced Ottawa-Glandorf and things went their way on Saturday too. Liberty-Benton was the clear victor by a 15-3 margin over Ottawa-Glandorf. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Kylie Steinman was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Roberts, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Steinman wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Liberty-Benton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ottawa-Glandorf only managed six hits.

Liberty-Benton now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ottawa-Glandorf, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Liberty-Benton will host Bath at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ottawa-Glandorf, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Leipsic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
