Softball Game Preview: Luis Valdez Leadership Academy Lions vs. KIPP San Jose Collegiate Wolfpack

The Luis Valdez Leadership Academy Lions will face off against the KIPP San Jose Collegiate Wolfpack at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Luis Valdez Leadership Academy and six for KIPP San Jose Collegiate dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, KIPP San Jose Collegiate didn't have quite enough to beat Latino College Preparatory Academy on Monday and fell 16-14.

Amy Hernandez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five stolen bases, and four runs. Another player making a difference was Alicia Espino, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Luis Valdez Leadership Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for KIPP San Jose Collegiate, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-3.
