Basketball Recap: Dilley Comes Up Short

Dilley lost against Poteet back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Dilley Wolves lost 49-28 to the Poteet Aggies.

Dilley dropped their record down to 4-17 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Poteet, they moved to 15-8 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dilley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lytle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dilley is facing Lytle at the right time seeing as Lytle is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Poteet, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on Cotulla at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Poteet will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Cotulla will have lost 11 straight heading into Tuesday's matchup.
