If the Hillsborough Terriers were riding high off their 66-15 takedown of the King Lions on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Hillsborough suffered a rough 68-45 loss at the hands of Sickles on Wednesday. Hillsborough was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-15.
Hillsborough's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Deana Epps , who scored 12 points. AJ Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Sickles' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Beckham Hockley, who scored 31 points along with 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Kelsey Sharpe, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
Hillsborough's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sickles, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillsborough will take on Strawberry Crest at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sickles, they will head out on the road to face off against Steinbrenner at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Steinbrenner focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday.
