Peoria barely beat Westview the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 3-0 victory on Wednesday.
Peoria never let Westview on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-22, 25-19.
Megan Schafer paced Peoria's offense, picking up 13 kills. Schafer got some help from Addison Alejandro and her 17 assists. Finally, Mia Gomez kept Peoria's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.
Despite the loss, Westview still got an impressive performance from Bianca Chavarria, who had 11 digs and one assist.
Peoria's record now sits at 8-16. As for Westview, they dropped their record down to 11-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
