Baseball Game Preview: Edison Eagles vs. Justice Wolves

Edison is 8-2 against Justice since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Eagles will host the Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Edison is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Edison's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Mount Vernon with a sharp 7-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Majors: they've now won three in a row.

The result came thanks to Jackson Naumovich's shutout, as he gave up just four hits.

On the hitting side, John Dobson and Finn Conger did most of the damage at the plate: Dobson went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run, while Conger went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave Dobson a new career-high. Matthias Alden was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Justice, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past Annandale 3-2.

Justice's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Edison, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7-1.

Edison got the 'W' in their previous meeting last Tuesday against Justice by a conclusive 14-4 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
