Recap: Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family vs. Pender Pendragons
Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family were the 55-23 winner over the Pender Pendragons when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family fell just short of Pender by a score of 42-39. Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family saw an underclassman step up: Caden Brandl scored 15 points along with eight steals. That's the first time this season that Brandl scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Easton Baumgart, who scored 12 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pender to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aiden Beckman, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Beckman scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Roth, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and five assists.
Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Pender, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family will take on Lutheran-Northeast at TBD on Thursday. Lutheran-Northeast is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Pender will be home for the holidays to greet Stanton on Saturday.
