Football Game Preview: Edmond North Huskies vs. Deer Creek Antlers

Edmond North hasn't had much luck against Deer Creek recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Antlers at 7:00 p.m. Edmond North has given up an average of 30 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Edmond North came up short against Norman and fell 35-25. While the Huskies had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Tigers 19-14.

Even if they lost, Edmond North's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Norman's QB won't forget Kaden Collins anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Collins also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 11. Edmond North received some extra help from Maddox Gregg, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, Deer Creek never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Enid 65-0. The Antlers haven't had any issues with the Plainsmen recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Deer Creek's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Edmond North, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.

Edmond North was taken down by Deer Creek 55-24 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Huskies, Grady Adamson (who threw for 236 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 75 yards and one TD) won't be suiting up this time.
