Soccer Game Preview: Fernley vs. West Wendover

The Fernley Vaqueros will head out to face off against the West Wendover Wolverines at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Fernley will be strutting in after a victory while West Wendover will be coming in after a defeat.

Fernley gave up the first goal on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Churchill County, sneaking past 2-1. The win continues a trend for Fernley in their matchups with Churchill County: they've now won three in a row.

Jesus Infante and Todd Wickenden scored both of Fernley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for West Wendover's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Spring Creek on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for West Wendover in their meetings with Spring Creek: they've now lost six in a row.
