Softball Recap: Enterprise Hornets vs. Shasta Wolves

Enterprise was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 17-5 to the Shasta Wolves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Enterprise of the 18-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Enterprise saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carly Graham, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Vanessa Gonzalez, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Enterprise will head out on the road to square off against Pleasant Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Pleasant Valley is coming into the matchup with six straight wins at home, so Enterprise will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Shasta, they will head out on the road to face off against Red Bluff at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Shasta has given up an average of 7.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
