Red Jacket extended the longest winning streak in Section 5 Finger Lakes - West this week by beating Mynderse Academy, 40-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Red Jacket moved up to 158 from 229 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Marc Vitticore's team was able to make the jump by beating the Blue Devils 40-0.
Mynderse Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brandon Passalacqua threw for 114 yards and Tim Trickler had 68 yards receiving. On the ground Aaron Peterman chipped in 58 yards. Connor Miller helped Mynderse Academy's passing attack out by catching two balls for 47 yards.
Mynderse Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Blue Devils feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Passalacqua has thrown for 285 yards this season, while Miller has eight catches for 113 yards. Peterman leads the league in rushing with 531 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Clyde-Savannah takes on the Indians. The Golden Eagles have allowed 46 points this season, while Red Jacket has given up 51. Clyde-Savannah allowed 6 points last week as it defeated Dundee.
