Basketball Game Preview: Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils vs. Cullman Bearcats

The Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils will head out to challenge the Cullman Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, it was close, but Mortimer Jordan sidestepped Gardendale for a 72-70 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

Meanwhile, Cullman entered their tilt with Marion County on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Red Raiders with a sharp 66-41 win. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Mortimer Jordan's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Cullman, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Mortimer Jordan was taken down by Cullman 76-49 when the teams last played back in November of 2020. Can Mortimer Jordan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
