Basketball Recap: Sandhills Classical Christian Comes Up Short

Sandhills Classical Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Christ the Cornerstone Academy Defenders and fell 52-24. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Christ the Cornerstone Academy was led to victory by Bryce Haywood and Will Jackson. Haywood went 5 for 9 on his way to 13 points along with eight rebounds and five steals, while Jackson went 8 of 13 en route to 16 points and eight boards. Jackson's morning made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Micah Wyckoff, who posted nine points.

Sandhills Classical Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Christ the Cornerstone Academy, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.
