Preview: McIntosh Demons vs. Fruitdale Pirates
McIntosh is 10-0 against Fruitdale since January of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The McIntosh Demons will head out on the road to face off against the Fruitdale Pirates at 6:30 p.m. McIntosh knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matches -- so hopefully Fruitdale likes a good challenge.
McIntosh suffered their closest loss yet this season on Saturday. They fell just short of Jackson by a score of 67-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Fruitdale, who are still winless after their 13th match. They had to suffer through a rough 82-42 loss at the hands of Leroy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Fruitdale has suffered since December 7, 2023.
McIntosh's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 17-3. As for Fruitdale, they bumped their record down to 0-13 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for McIntosh against Fruitdale in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 84-34 win. With McIntosh ahead 45-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
