Basketball Recap: New Milford Green Wave vs. Notre Dame Catholic Lancers
The New Milford Green Wave lost against the Notre Dame Catholic Lancers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. New Milford was dealt a 80-32 loss at the hands of the Lancers. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for New Milford in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Green Wave players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Armani Checo, who scored ten points. Christian Robitaille was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
New Milford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Notre Dame Catholic, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.
New Milford will head out on the road to challenge the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Fairfield will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Notre Dame Catholic will take on the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
