Chapin came tearing into Friday's matchup with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.1 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Irmo Yellow Jackets by a score of 3-1. Given Chapin's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Irmo are ranked 72nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chapin hit Irmo with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lucas Rogers, Brayden Sipe, and Eli Vance.

Chapin pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven contests. As for Irmo, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
