Basketball Game Preview: Creede Miners vs. Sierra Grande Panthers

Creede is 1-8 against Sierra Grande since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Creede Miners will face off against the Sierra Grande Panthers at 12:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Creede was handed a 29-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against South Park, sneaking past 39-37.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sierra Grande, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 41-25 victory over Trinidad on Thursday.

Creede has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points over those games. Sierra Grande's win bumped their record up to 13-9.

Creede lost to Sierra Grande on the road by a decisive 49-35 margin when the teams last played back in January. Can Creede avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
