Northeast Jones had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Forrest County Agricultural Aggies get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Not much got past Kade Mozingo, who gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Forrest County Agricultural off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ryne Herrington, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Northeast Jones hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Forrest County Agricultural struck out ten times.

Northeast Jones' win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-7-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Forrest County Agricultural, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-14.

Looking ahead, Northeast Jones will challenge Sumrall on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 2.8, the Bobcats 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Forrest County Agricultural does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
