Preview: Trinity Christian Warriors vs. Academy with Community Partners Lions
The Trinity Christian Warriors will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Academy with Community Partners Lions at 6:00 p.m. Trinity Christian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
Last Tuesday, Trinity Christian didn't have too much trouble with Orme on the road as they won 48-34. Given Trinity Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Orme is ranked 213th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Academy with Community Partners got the win against 91st Psalm Christian School on Thursday by a conclusive 63-39. The victory was just what Academy with Community Partners needed coming off of a 66-35 loss in their prior game.
Academy with Community Partners' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reymend Hernandez, who scored 23 points along with seven assists and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hernandez has scored all season. Ohzeaya Carson was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds.
Trinity Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Academy with Community Partners, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
