Football Recap: Hooker's Loss Ends 12-Game Winning Streak at Home

Hooker and Rejoice Christian squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Hooker had to settle for second. They came up short against the Rejoice Christian Eagles, falling 35-14. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Bulldogs, who until this contest were averaging 13.29 points allowed.

Despite the loss, Hooker had strong showings from Justin Palacios, who gained 173 total yards, and Tatum Trimble, who picked up 63 receiving yards and one touchdown. That's the most receiving yards Trimble has posted since back in October.

Hooker didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Trace Duncan and Keilan Robinson.

Hooker's defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-2. As for Rejoice Christian, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

As of now, neither Hooker nor Rejoice Christian have any future games scheduled.
