Baseball Recap: Spaulding Comes Up Short

Spaulding came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-2 to the Trinity Pioneers. The loss continues a trend for the Red Raiders in their meetings with the Pioneers: they've now lost three in a row.

Spaulding's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11-1. As for Trinity, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Spaulding is set to take on their familiar foe Bedford at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Trinity will face off against rival Concord at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
