Baseball Recap: Abington Heights Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Scranton on Sunday, Abington Heights came back down to earth. The Comets fell just short of the North Pocono Trojans by a score of 7-5 on Monday. The Comets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 10-0.

Abington Heights saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thomas LaCoe, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Abington Heights' loss dropped their record down to 16-4. As for North Pocono, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-5.

Abington Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Pocono, they will head out on the road to challenge Delaware Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
