Softball Game Preview: Fort Frye Cadets vs. Warren Warriors

The Fort Frye Cadets will square off against the Warren Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Fort Frye came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to River. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cadets have suffered since March 29th.

Fort Frye saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carmen Henniger, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, Warren was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Athens.

Gracie Adams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

Fort Frye's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Warren, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
