Needles won the last time they faced White Pine and things went their way on Friday too. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Bobcats. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by ten runs or more this season.

Hudson Smith was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Pletcher, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Needles is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for White Pine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9.

Coming up, Needles will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Holtville at 3:00 p.m. As for White Pine, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lake Mead Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on May 2.
