Basketball Recap: Fullington Academy Triumphs

If Central Georgia Arts wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Fullington Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Will Sangster. The Fullington Academy Trojans blew past Central Georgia Arts 89-61 on Tuesday thanks in part to Sangster, who dropped a double-double on 40 points and 20 rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Sangster, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 9.2 rebounds per game.

Central Georgia Arts lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Luke Robinson, who went 8 of 20 on his way to 28 points. That was a full 45.9% of Central Georgia Arts' points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephen Hartley, who put up 16 points.

The win got Fullington Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Central Georgia Arts, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Fullington Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-58 defeat against Terrell Academy on the 6th. As for Central Georgia Arts, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-36 loss against Crisp Academy on the 6th.
