Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sierra Lutheran). Everything went their way against the Silver Stage Nighthawks on Wednesday as the Sierra Lutheran Falcons made off with a 38-16 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 36-26 two weeks ago.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sierra Lutheran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chloe Friend, who went 6 for 15 on her way to 12 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Friend has posted since back in January of 2024. Rukhsana Khan was another key player, putting up five points in addition to four steals and three blocks.

Sierra Lutheran was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silver Stage only posted two assists.

Silver Stage's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dakota Little, who posted seven points along with six blocks and five steals. Little has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kassandra Canales, who earned nine blocks.

Sierra Lutheran's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11. As for Silver Stage, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Sierra Lutheran has already played their next game, a 37-29 defeat against West Wendover on the 31st. As for Silver Stage, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-19 loss against Battle Mountain on the 31st.
