Basketball Game Preview: Sabine Pass Sharks vs. Hull-Daisetta Bobcats

The Sabine Pass Sharks will face off against the Hull-Daisetta Bobcats at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Friday, Sabine Pass came up short against East Chambers and fell 61-50. The Sharks haven't had much luck with the Buccaneers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Cohen Cole, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 12 boards. The contest was his third in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Ja'Lon Aiken, who posted nine points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 56 points the game before, Hull-Daisetta was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They lost 47-26 to Big Sandy. The Bobcats were down 38-18 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sabine Pass fell to 2-1. As for Hull-Daisetta, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Everything came up roses for Sabine Pass against Hull-Daisetta in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 65-29 win. Will the Sharks repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
