Western Branch entered their tilt with Nansemond River on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Warriors. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bruins also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

One reason for the win was Western Branch's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17, 25-13.

Western Branch's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Nansemond River, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Branch will venture away from home to face off against Deep Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nansemond River, they will head out to take on Cape Henry Collegiate at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
