Basketball Game Preview: Roane County Raiders vs. Buffalo Bison

Roane County is 1-7 against Buffalo since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Roane County Raiders will head out to face off against the Buffalo Bison at 7:00 p.m. Roane County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Roane County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 68-56 victory over Gilmer County on Tuesday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roane County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cam Cumpston, who went 9 of 11 on his way to 21 points and five boards. Cumpston is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Odle, who went 8 for 12 en route to 18 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Buffalo, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against Poca by a score of 60-47 on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Bison as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Roane County's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Buffalo, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.

Things could have been worse for Roane County, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-45 loss to Buffalo in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Roane County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
