Volleyball Recap: Servite Takes a Loss

Servite lost against Mater Dei two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Friars fell just short of the Monarchs by a score of 3-2. The Friars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Servite took Mater Dei into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-22, 25-18, 21-25, 15-9.

Servite now has a losing record of 15-16. As for Mater Dei, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-10-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Servite will head out to face off against Esperanza at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mater Dei, they will square off against JSerra Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
