Softball Recap: Eastern Comes Up Short

After soaring to 18 runs the game before, Eastern was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They came up short against the Eastbrook Panthers, falling 13-1. The Comets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2021.

Eastern saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elle Winger, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Eastbrook, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Eastbrook beat Eastern by a score of 18-3 later that day.
