If Leopold was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Scott City on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Notre Dame Bulldogs on Friday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Leopold started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-14, 25-20, 25-22.

Rylie Schreiner paced Leopold's offense, picking up 29 kills. Schreiner got some help from Ashtyn Van De Ven and her 40 assists. Schreiner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Leopold's defeat dropped their record down to 18-2-2. As for Notre Dame, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-7-2.

Leopold wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Ste. Genevieve on the 4th. As for Notre Dame, they will welcome Advance at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
