Softball Recap: Ben L. Smith Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Ben L. Smith's offense. They came up short against the Southern Guilford Storm on Thursday, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Golden Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Ben L. Smith dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Southern Guilford, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Ben L. Smith will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against High Point Central at 6:00 p.m. As for Southern Guilford, they will head out to square off against Eastern Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
