Soccer Game Preview: Aquinas vs. Linfield Christian

The Aquinas Falcons will take on the Linfield Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Aquinas' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Aquinas fell victim to Woodcrest Christian and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Royals by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1057th, while the Royals are ranked 368th).

Meanwhile, neither Linfield Christian nor Arrowhead Christian could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Linfield Christian's draw makes their record 5-6-4 this season. As for Aquinas, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9-1.

Aquinas might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Linfield Christian in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Aquinas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
