Softball Recap: Brookfield East Takes a Loss

Brookfield East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 15-11 to the Wauwatosa East Red Raiders. Even if the Spartans couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Paeton Ulrich led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Sara Cohen, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs.

Brookfield East now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Wauwatosa East, they moved to 3-12 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Brookfield East is set to face off against their familiar foe Divine Savior Holy Angels at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wauwatosa East will take on rival Germantown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
