Softball Recap: Regis Comes Up Short

If Regis was riding high fresh off their 13-7 takedown of Cadott on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ramblers fell 7-3 to the Bloomer Blackhawks on Friday. The Ramblers have struggled against the Blackhawks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Regis saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Borton, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Maddy Payne also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Regis' defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Bloomer, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Regis will challenge Stanley-Boyd at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Ramblers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Orioles have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Bloomer, they will square off against Cadott at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
